First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion

A child’s preparation for their First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion is a very important stage on their journey of faith. Our First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion programme is open to children in school Year 3 and above. Children attend the programme, with a parent or carer, to learn about their faith and prepare to receive these two sacraments – firstly Reconciliation (usually during Lent) and then they make their First Holy Communion towards the end of the programme, usually on the feast of Corpus Christi in June.

For information on how your child can join the next programme please look out for details in the newsletter over the summer months – registration usually takes place in September.

This years children have been preparing for their sacrament by producing some lovely prayers please click here to read through them and may we ask you to remember them all in your prayers over the coming months.

If you are an adult wishing to prepare for your First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion please see the article below “Are you interested in becoming a Catholic?”
