Year of the Eucharist

Welcome to The Year of the Eucharist!

On the Feast of Corpus Christi Bishop Philip invited us…

“… to join me, and everyone across the Diocese, in keeping from today a Year of the Eucharist, supported by our current focus on St. Joseph. I wish this Year of the Eucharist to bring about a deep spiritual renewal, a deeper love for Jesus in the Mass and in the Sacrament of the Altar. I invite you to return physically to Mass, if you haven’t already, and to attend Mass more often, keeping the feast days……..”

Extract taken from Bishop Philip’s latest Pastoral Letter, read out on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi.  To read the whole of Bishop Philip’s letter, please visit the Portsmouth Diocese website here

Looking for ways to celebrate the Year of The Eucharist?  Then why not visit the Catholic Truth Society’s (CTS) website here – they’ve compiled a special page dedicated to the Eucharist, including ‘How To Pray before the Blessed Sacrament’ and ‘Is Jesus Really present in the Eucharist?’ Worth a visit.

And watch out for details in the parish newsletters for events happening in our Pastoral Area over the next 12 months to celebrate the Year of the Eucharist.
