About Us

Avon Stour Pastoral Area comprises the Catholic parishes of Christchurch, Southbourne, Fordingbridge, Ringwood, Iford & Highcliffe in Dorset/Hampshire UK within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portsmouth. We strive to be a community of welcoming, vibrant, growing Catholic parish communities of intentional, fruitful, missionary disciples, rooted in the Father’s love, focused on and in relationship with Jesus Christ, and on fire with the Holy Spirit, united in bringing the love of God to our neighbourhoods through prayer, service and witness. Our Faith

Catholics are first and foremost, Christians. We believe that God revealed Himself to us in His Son, Jesus Christ (which is where the name Christians derives from). However God has also revealed Himself to be a Trinity of Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
